Alice's pants

Kim asked about Alice's overalls and NO I did not invent this pattern. I had to scour the internet though for something that was
1 easy to make
2 not victorian or otherwise oldfashioned
3 not a dress, since you can't be expected to renovate an entire house in your pretty skirt
4 feminine: so many pants were so masculine and Alice is a real girly girl (with no fear of dirty hands luckily)

So I went searching and found this pattern on a French site:

It's quite easy to follow, even if you don't read French. I've been taught French for 5 years and still understand most of it, but some sentences or words (like the words for seam or fly) had to be looked up in a dictionary. If you don't own a French dictionary, get one! No seriously, with Google Translate you'll get there fine too. But if you have a wordaddiction like me, you'll be better off with the books.

I went to the DIY shop today and got some wood for the missing and broken kit pieces, a jigsaw (I don't have a lot of tools and prefer the handheld stuff to big things that I have no room for in our small appartment), some woodfiller for the drafty gaps and wood primer! So with a little luck we can get started on the repair work of the house this weekend. I can't wait until this part is over, I'm more of a decorating and furniture creating person LOL! Alice on the other hand is really excited to get going with the jigsaw and wood filler. She says she likes doing this manly work around the house. I even heard her mumbling something about redoing the side and adding a greenery!! That's not going to happen, I like the house just as it is!
