"Hmm let's peek through the door."
"So this is the livingroom? It's big! Could be a lovely kitchen too you know."
"Let's go upstairs, I think I've seen enough of downstairs. Really dusty and messy and needs a lot of work. Maybe... well no... although..."
"This is supposed to be a master bedroom? Half the yucky carpet's still stuck on the floor! Rats wouldn't sleep here!"
"Well the bathroom is drafty! Can't imagine walking in here naked to take a hot bath hahaha!"
"It is quite spacious though... If I break down that wall under the stairs and close that up... Some vintage french tiles on that wall... And a window! With the tub underneath! And then a lovely windowsill with candles and books..."
"There's an attic too? I'd like an atticroom for my little girl to sleep and play in. You didn't know? I have a daughter, her name's Coral, she's from China and I love her to pieces."
"Oooohhhh wowwww this is big!! It's perfect!!"
"Look at the cute bay windows! I could make a seat in here where Coral can put her dolls and bears. Or maybe a kiddiekitchen, she's been nagging for one of those for ages."
"This bay window is huge! I can just see Coral playing and dancing here with her friends. I'll make some curtains with little flowers and there can be a teaparty or a dollhouse or...."
"I don't like this though. I could probably move this. Or break it out if I have to."
"Oh my look at that roof! And I thought the bathroom was drafty! I'm going to need your help on this one Lirael, but I am absolutely in love with the house. I'll take it!"
So there you have it: finally an occupant for the Willowcrest dollhouse! Looks like Alice and me are going to be friends, she's real sweet. I've also come up with a new name for the house, but that remains a secret for now, I still have to deliberate with Alice now that she's the tenant.
I've made a button to the left so you can always come back to this post in case you are wondering: Alice, Alice, who the..... ;)
Oh, these photos are wonderful. I love Alice's hair and overalls. She seems like a fun person. Cannot wait to see how she's going to decorate the house.

What a wonderful tour through the house and Alice can really see the potential of this house. I can't wait to see it all come together and it has been so nice meeting Alice.
ReplyDeleteThank you both for your kind comments! :)
ReplyDeleteWow- great, great post!! I loved meeting Alice too- did you sew her clothes or purchase them? I have a Heidi Ott doll and I LOVE Alice's overalls! I can't wait to see how Alice transforms the Willowcrest!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! I made the overalls from a pattern I found online. It had to be altered though, I really didn't want her to look like a giraffe in elephants pants :) I don't know how good your french is, but I'll look up the link for you!
ReplyDeleteThis is just too cute! I will look forward to seeing the redecorating!
