In the mean time, let me keep you busy with some pictures of the progress I've made on my house. I got it early january 2010 and even though it was in terrible condition, I loved it right away. It felt like a stray cat, underfed and dirty, just purring and rubbing my feet. Who couldn't pick that up?
So this is what my stray house looked like back then. The picture isn't great, because it was taken with a phone, at night, but hey, you can tell this house has been living on the rough can't you?
And this is what it looked like last january... Doesn't look like much? Trust me, I've made enormous progress! The outside and inside have been completely stripped, sanded, sanded again, sanded again and patched up with wood filler. On the inside, I've made new floors, new staircases and even some new ceilings. I'll show you that some other time.
And this is what it looks like now. The outside has been plastered and painted. The roof is up next, since it's totally crooked, like everything else. It's not going to stay red, but I'll paint it a rusty brown. The front door is going to be tangerine orange and the windows are going to have a tiny strawberry red touch. I can't wait to have some time and finish it!
Great job! Looking so fun.
